Once Upon a Farm expands portfolio with five protein-focused products
Once Upon a Farm (NYSE: OFRM) launched five new organic protein-focused product lines, marking the company's largest portfolio expansion. The products will be available at select retailers and direct-to-consumer beginning early April 2026.
The expansion includes refrigerated Meat and Meat & Bone Broth pouches for babies, containing at least 4g of protein from grass-fed beef, free-range chicken and turkey. The Meat line offers five varieties in 3.5oz pouches, while the Meat & Bone Broth line includes three varieties with organic bone broth.
The company also introduced Legume Blends with plant-based protein from beans and pumpkin seeds, available in two combinations. For older children, Once Upon a Farm launched Smoothies with Protein & Probiotics in two flavors, each containing 4g of protein and added probiotics.
The Power Wheels line features shelf-stable snack bars made with 4g of protein, whole-grain oats, and fruit and vegetable ingredients, available in Strawberry Shortcake and Blueberry Crumble flavors.
According to the company's research, 72% of parents prefer fresh, refrigerated meat puree over shelf-stable alternatives for babies. Kantar Profiles/Mintel data from December 2023 indicates 46% of U.S. parents with children ages three and younger consider protein important when selecting foods for babies and toddlers.
"From introducing your baby to their first taste of protein to handing your six-year-old a snack before their first practice, we want to be there for every stage," said Cassandra Curtis, co-founder and chief innovation officer.
All products maintain the company's organic, non-GMO standards with no added sugar and no artificial flavors or colors. The products will be sold in various retail locations including baby food coolers, dairy aisles, and snack sections depending on the product type.
