March 31, 2026 8:31 AM

Bel Fuse Inc. (NASDAQ: BELFA and BELFB) announced a reorganization of its business structure, transitioning from product-focused divisions to two end-market-oriented units effective immediately.

The West Orange, New Jersey-based electronic components manufacturer will operate through an Aerospace, Defense & Rugged Solutions unit representing approximately $369 million or 55% of 2025 sales, and an Industrial Technology & Data Solutions unit accounting for about $307 million or 45% of 2025 sales.

The aerospace and defense unit combines the previous Connectivity Solutions and Enercon businesses to serve aerospace, defense, space, oil and gas, outdoor broadcasting, and agriculture markets. The industrial technology unit integrates the pre-Enercon Power Solutions and Protection and Magnetic Solutions divisions to focus on industrial, medical, semiconductor, transportation, and data solutions sectors.

Steve Dawson was appointed Executive Vice President and President of Industrial Technology & Data Solutions. Dawson joined Bel in 2014 and previously served as President of the Power Solutions and Protection business.

Tom Smelker was named Executive Vice President and President of Aerospace, Defense & Rugged Solutions. Smelker joined Bel in January 2026 and brings experience managing a $400+ million profit and loss operation across ten sites at Mercury Systems.

"This realignment reflects our commitment to driving sustainable growth and delivering greater value to our customers," said Farouq Tuweiq, CEO of Bel Fuse Inc., according to the company's statement.

The company manufactures electronic components, systems and solutions for aerospace, defense, industrial, and data-driven markets from manufacturing facilities worldwide.
