SLB extends digital platform deal with Azule Energy in Angola

March 31, 2026 8:05 AM

SLB (NYSE: SLB) announced a three-year agreement with Azule Energy to expand use of its Delfi digital platform across operations in Angola. The deal builds on two years of platform deployment within Azule's reservoir organization.

Azule Energy, a joint venture between bp and Eni, operates as Angola's largest independent energy producer. The company has used the platform for reservoir studies, modeling, simulation and well planning workflows.

The expanded agreement connects reservoir workflows with operational data environments through SLB's cloud-based capabilities. Deployment and support will be provided through the SLB Luanda Performance Center.

Early results show the integrated workflows, including DrillPlan well planning solutions, have reduced planning cycles from days to hours while increasing automation. The platform aims to support consistent execution across Azule's operations.

"Azule operates large, complex energy assets where execution reliability and consistency matter," said ND Maduemezia, president for Europe and Africa at SLB. The agreement positions Azule to adopt digital and AI-enabled technologies as they become available.

The platform supports workflows across reservoir and planning activities, with plans for integration into broader operational data systems over time. SLB's technology aims to accelerate decision-making and improve execution predictability for energy delivery in Angola.

The information is based on a press release from SLB.
