S&P Global appoints Firdaus Bhathena as chief technology officer
S&P Global (NYSE: SPGI) announced the appointment of Firdaus Bhathena as Executive Vice President and Chief Technology and Transformation Officer, effective April 27, 2026, according to a company statement.
Bhathena will lead a unified enterprise technology organization and report directly to President and CEO Martina Cheung. He will be based at the company's New York headquarters.
The executive joins from FIS Global, where he served as Executive Vice President and Global Chief Technology Officer, leading a team of more than 24,000 employees. At FIS, he was responsible for technology infrastructure transformation, software product development, and data and AI innovation.
"Creating the Chief Technology and Transformation Officer role is a pivotal step in our strategy, amplifying our AI capabilities to increase productivity and deliver new value to our customers at greater scale and speed," said Cheung in the statement.
Prior to FIS, Bhathena served as Senior Vice President and Enterprise Chief Digital Officer at CVS Health, where he led digital transformation and product innovation. He co-founded WebLine Communications, which won the MIT $50,000 Business Plan Competition before being acquired by Cisco Systems.
Bhathena holds bachelor's and master's degrees in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from MIT.
