Weight Watchers offers discounted Wegovy pricing through Novo Nordisk deal
WW International Inc. (NASDAQ: WW) announced that its Med+ members will receive subscription pricing for Wegovy that reduces out-of-pocket costs through an expanded collaboration with Novo Nordisk.
The subscription offer provides Weight Watchers Med+ members access to discounted self-pay prices for Wegovy doses, with potential savings of up to $1,200 per year for cash-paying members. The announcement coincides with Novo Nordisk's launch of a medication subscription pricing model for Wegovy.
Eligible Med+ members with valid prescriptions can pre-pay for three, six, or 12 months of Wegovy at discounted monthly rates, covering Wegovy pens across all doses and Wegovy pills at 9 mg and 25 mg doses. Members can save up to $100 per month on pens and up to $50 per month on pills compared to standard monthly self-pay prices, depending on commitment length.
"Novo Nordisk and Weight Watchers are each committed to helping those living with obesity take control of their health–and we are strengthening our collaboration to support that shared mission," said Ed Cinca, Senior Vice President Marketing and Patient Solutions at Novo Nordisk.
Members without multi-month commitments can access existing limited-time pricing offers, including starting doses of Wegovy pills for $149 per month. Weight Watchers operates as a NovoCare Recognized Care Provider.
The Weight Watchers Med+ platform provides access to board-certified physicians, FDA-approved prescriptions, and lifestyle support programs. The company's GLP-1 Success program offers tools and support throughout members' treatment journeys.
Weight Watchers reports rapid growth in its clinical business, reflecting increased demand for integrated GLP-1 treatment models. The expanded collaboration builds on the existing relationship between Weight Watchers and Novo Nordisk to improve access to FDA-approved weight management treatments.
