Canopy Growth launches Deelish cannabis brand in Ontario and Alberta
Canopy Growth Corporation (NASDAQ: CGC) launched a new cannabis brand called Deelish, targeting value-conscious consumers in Ontario and Alberta markets.
The brand offers flower products with 27%-33% THC content and pre-rolls with 26%-32% THC levels. Deelish differentiates itself by rotating its genetic lineup regularly rather than maintaining a single product profile.
The company launched four initial products under the Deelish brand: Pretty Sweet Sativa in both 28-gram whole flower and 2x1-gram pre-roll formats, and Pretty Chill Indica in the same formats. All products are positioned at what the company describes as everyday pricing.
"The value segment is one of the most active parts of the Canadian cannabis market," said Luc Mongeau, Chief Executive Officer of Canopy Growth. "Consumers know exactly what they want, and Deelish was made to deliver a high-potency product with a price that respects how they shop."
The products are currently available at select retail locations across Ontario and Alberta. The company stated the brand was developed based on consumer feedback regarding market preferences for high-potency products at accessible price points.
Canopy Growth operates through multiple cannabis brands including Tweed, 7ACRES, DOJA, and others. The company also provides medical cannabis services through Canada House Clinics and maintains interests in U.S. cannabis operations through Canopy USA.
