Cyngn deploys autonomous tuggers at California agricultural processor
Cyngn Inc. (NASDAQ: CYN) deployed four DriveMod Tuggers at Vann Family Orchards, an agricultural processor in northern California, the company announced March 31.
The autonomous vehicles transport raw materials between storage and processing areas across connected warehouse facilities. The system replaces part of the facility's manual forklift operations while maintaining human workers for loading and unloading products.
"At Vann Family Orchards, raw materials must move continuously between warehouses and processing equipment to keep production running," said Lior Tal, Cyngn's Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. "This deployment demonstrates DriveMod's ability to operate reliably in agricultural environments where throughput, safety, and uptime are operationally critical."
California generates more than $61.2 billion in annual agricultural output, producing approximately 50% of U.S. vegetables and 75% of U.S. fruits and nuts across more than 400 agricultural commodities, according to the press release.
Vann Family Orchards operates large-scale processing facilities serving domestic and international markets from California's Sacramento Valley.
The deployment follows Cyngn's previous announcement of a DriveMod deployment with G&J Pepsi, described as the largest independent Pepsi bottler in the United States.
Chandler Automation served as Cyngn's systems integration partner for the installation at Vann Family Orchards.
Cyngn develops autonomous vehicle technology for industrial organizations including manufacturers and logistics companies. The company's DriveMod technology is currently available on Motrec MT-160 Tuggers, which can haul up to 12,000 pounds and operate both indoors and outdoors.
