March 31, 2026 6:45 AM

Atmus Filtration Technologies Inc. (NYSE: ATMU) opened a new testing laboratory facility at its Quimper, France location to enhance its global testing capabilities and reduce lead times for customers.

The modernized facility enables local testing that previously required support from other global sites, improving speed and coordination within the company's testing network. The laboratory conducts more than 5,000 filter tests annually for both liquid and air applications.

"This investment ensures we have the advanced testing capabilities needed to support our customers today and into the future," said Lito Mendoza, engineering director of global laboratory operations at Atmus.

The facility is certified to automotive IATF 16949 and laboratory ISO 17025 standards. It features upgraded infrastructure for comprehensive validation testing to meet original equipment manufacturer specifications and includes a clean room for assessing particle contamination of components.

The Quimper laboratory operates as part of Atmus' "One Global Lab" network of five testing facilities worldwide. Other locations include sites in Pune, India; Wuhan, China; Cookeville, Tennessee; and Stoughton, Wisconsin.

The company has developed 14 proprietary tests that exceed industry standards and conducts testing under real-world operating conditions including vibration, thermal and pressure dynamics. The facility employs 14 laboratory staff members who support validation activities for new product development and quality control for the Quimper manufacturing plant.

The original Quimper laboratory was established in 1981. The expanded facility is designed to accommodate future testing capabilities, including multivariate testing that simulates real-world operating conditions.
