Trustmark names Owens COO, Bond CFO effective May 2026

Trustmark Corporation (NASDAQ: TRMK) announced that Thomas C. Owens will become Chief Operating Officer of Trustmark Bank effective May 1, 2026. Joseph E. Bond will succeed Owens as Treasurer and Principal Financial Officer of Trustmark Corporation and Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Trustmark Bank on the same date.



Owens, 62, currently serves as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Trustmark Bank and Treasurer and Principal Financial Officer of Trustmark Corporation, positions he has held since 2021. He joined Trustmark in 2013 as Executive Vice President and Bank Treasurer. Prior to Trustmark, Owens worked at Webster Financial Corporation, Wachovia Corporation, Keycorp, and began his banking career at Banc One Corporation in 1987.



Owens holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and Finance from The Ohio State University and a Master of Business Administration degree with a concentration in Finance from Winthrop University.



Bond, 63, previously served as Corporate Treasurer of Texas Capital Bancshares, Inc. in Dallas and held the position of Executive Vice President and Director of Corporate Treasury since 2021. His experience includes roles at BBVA USA, Webster Bank, Huntington Bancshares, and MNC Financial. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with concentrations in Economics and Finance from the University of Pittsburgh in 1986.



The appointments were announced by the Boards of Directors of both Trustmark Corporation and Trustmark Bank, according to the company's press release.



Trustmark is a financial services company with offices in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Mississippi, Tennessee and Texas.
