FactSet launches AI banking solution with Finster AI partnership

March 30, 2026 4:26 PM

FactSet Research Systems Inc. (NYSE: FDS) announced the alpha launch of FactSet AI for Banking, an artificial intelligence-powered workflow automation system developed in partnership with Finster AI. The company also disclosed an investment in Finster AI as part of the collaboration.

The new solution targets investment banking teams and research firms by automating deal processes and providing data-driven insights through a unified platform. The system operates through natural language prompts and orchestrates the production of transaction assets and other processes across deal lifecycles.

The AI solution includes multiple agents designed to generate pitch materials, company profiles, memos, research reports, and buyer-seller analysis. It integrates with FactSet Workstation and Microsoft Office Suite, with deployment options including virtual private cloud and single tenant configurations for regulated financial environments.

"At FactSet, we envision a future in which powerful intelligence and AI agents seamlessly enhance one another," said Kate Stepp, Chief AI Officer at FactSet. The solution provides "seamless access to an unprecedented array of datasets, proprietary agents, and task automation capabilities," she added.

The platform allows clients to incorporate their own Model Context Protocols and data sets alongside FactSet's existing data universe. This architecture enables the system to serve as a centralized interface for investment banking content from multiple sources.

"FactSet's vision for AI aligns deeply with our belief that the future of finance will be driven by intelligent AI agents operating natively within workflows," said Sid Jayakumar, CEO of Finster AI.

FactSet AI for Banking is currently available in alpha for select clients, with broader deployment planned through 2026. The solution incorporates both agentic and generative AI technologies developed through the partnership with Finster AI and FactSet's internal AI team.
