SiriusPoint names Sabra Purtill to board, two directors to step down
SiriusPoint Ltd. (NYSE: SPNT) announced changes to its board of directors, with Sabra Purtill joining as a new member effective March 25, 2026, while Franklin Montross IV and Peter Tan will step down following the company's annual meeting on May 20, 2026.
Purtill brings 40 years of experience in insurance and financial services, with a background spanning corporate finance, capital markets, treasury and financial reporting. She has held senior positions at AIG, Hartford Financial Services Group Inc. and Assured Guaranty Ltd., and previously worked at ACE Limited, now known as Chubb.
"SiriusPoint is at an important stage in its evolution, with a clear focus on discipline, resilience and long-term value," Purtill said. "I'm looking forward to working with the Board and management team to help guide the business through its next phase."
Bronek Masojada, chair of SiriusPoint's board, said Purtill's financial and insurance experience will support the board's oversight, governance and strategic direction. He thanked Montross and Tan for their contributions over the past five years.
Montross joined the SiriusPoint board in 2021 and serves as chair of the Risk & Capital Management Committee and as a member of the Audit and Compensation committees. Tan also joined in 2021 and serves on the Investment Committee and the Risk & Capital Management Committee.
SiriusPoint is a Bermuda-headquartered specialty underwriter with offices in New York, London, Stockholm and other locations. The company has over $3 billion in total capital and financial strength ratings of A from Fitch, A- from AM Best and S&P, and A3 from Moody's.
