Amentum relocates Hawaii office, launches contested logistics center

March 30, 2026 2:00 PM

Amentum (NYSE: AMTM) has relocated its Hawaii office from Aiea to a larger facility at 3375 Koapaka Street in Honolulu, quadrupling the size of its local headquarters. The company also established a Center for Contested Logistics at the new location to support U.S. Indo-Pacific Command operations.

The engineering and technology services company manages over 1,000 personnel across the Hawaiian Islands through various defense programs. These include the INDOPACOM Technology, Experimentation, Analysis, and Management Services initiative, the Pacific Missile Range Facility contract, and comprehensive support services covering intelligence analysis, logistics, supply chain management and aircraft maintenance.

"Our mission is to transform contested logistics from a strategic vulnerability into a decisive advantage," said Mark Walter, president of Amentum's Engineering and Technology Group, according to the company's statement. "By expanding our local headquarters, we are centralizing our regional operational and solutions development teams alongside our Hawaii-based customers and teams to enable greater agility and responsiveness."

The company cited the Indo-Pacific region as a strategic priority for the United States, noting that anti-access/area-denial strategies pose risks to communication networks, supply lines and cyber infrastructure in the region.

Brian Bethea, vice president of Amentum's Indo-Pacific Mission Integration Program, stated the relocation signals "our long-term commitment to the Indo-Pacific and to the warfighters we sit with and support every day."

Amentum, headquartered in Chantilly, Virginia, employs approximately 50,000 people in more than 70 countries. The company provides engineering and technology solutions to government and commercial clients globally.
