April is Financial Literacy Month, and Regions Bank is reinforcing the importance of developing financial confidence early in life. The bank delivers financial education to schools, businesses and nonprofits through Regions Next Step®, a financial education program available to anyone year-round at no cost, regardless of whether they bank with Regions.

“Life in your 20s is full of money decisions – such as managing rent and car payments, handling student loans, and building credit, and we know it can feel overwhelming,” said John Jordan, head of Retail for Regions Bank. “We are committed to helping students and young adults build financial confidence and creating extraordinary experiences for them. We know that the earlier people start building healthy financial habits, the better prepared they are when the unexpected happens.”

Regions’ expanded financial wellness resources include:

Additionally, Regions Next Step for Students is launching an enhanced library of self-paced, interactive courses covering topics such as paying for college, understanding student loans, preparing for graduation, taxes, identity protection and more. Each course takes 10 minutes or less to complete and can be accessed via a mobile device, tablet or computer.

“We approach financial education the same way we approach one-on-one conversations at our neighborhood branches,” Jordan added. “That’s by focusing exclusively on your own needs. While we believe everyone should track spending, build an emergency fund and use credit wisely, our best advice comes from the financial goals people share with us. We hope these events and new content create even more of these moments that matter for them – when we sit down together and create a personalized plan for financial success.”

In 2025, Regions Next Step provided financial education to more than 1.4 million people across the company’s footprint, delivered approximately 12,000 in-person and virtual financial wellness workshops on consumer and business topics, and received 1.8 million financial education content page views. Further, Regions Bank associates completed 17,000 financial education volunteer hours.
