Sagtec Global to build NVIDIA-powered data center by Q4 2026
Sagtec Global Limited (NASDAQ: SAGT) announced plans to launch a data center powered by NVIDIA GPU architecture through its subsidiary CL Technologies (International) Sdn Bhd. The facility is scheduled for completion in the fourth quarter of 2026.
The Malaysia-based technology company said the data center will support millions of daily transactions across food and beverage retail ordering, retail operations, and financial technology systems. The infrastructure aims to provide high availability and low latency performance for the company's growing transaction processing needs.
The project represents what the company describes as a strategic shift toward owning its infrastructure rather than relying on third-party services. SAGT currently specializes in point-of-sale systems and enterprise software solutions.
"Owning our infrastructure is a natural progression as we scale," said the company's chief executive officer. "With the integration of NVIDIA-powered systems and the continued development of CL Technologies (International) Sdn Bhd, we are strengthening our foundation in data and positioning the Group for long-term growth."
The company plans to expand CL Technologies, which currently handles data management and analytics within the group. SAGT indicated the data center will support compliance with regulatory requirements through jurisdiction-specific data handling capabilities.
The initiative is part of the company's strategy to develop Infrastructure-as-a-Service and Fintech-as-a-Service offerings for recurring revenue streams. SAGT expects to release its full-year financial results in early April 2026.
The company noted that the project remains subject to due diligence, negotiation of definitive agreements, and customary closing conditions.
