March 27, 2026 8:05 AM

Costco Wholesale (NASDAQ: COST) opened its eleventh Canadian Business Centre in Winnipeg, marking the first such facility in Manitoba. The 137,000 square-foot centre, located at 1315 St. James St., converted from the original Costco Winnipeg warehouse that relocated to 4077 Portage Avenue W.

The new facility created 190 local jobs and offers business-specific inventory, with more than 70 percent of products unique to the Business Centre format. The centre targets restaurants, offices, and convenience stores with industrial-sized quantities of professional kitchenware, expanded grocery items, and office supplies.

The facility includes a 14,000 square-foot cooler, indoor loading area, and full-service pharmacy. A next-day delivery service operates within a designated city zone using six trucks. Operating hours are Monday through Saturday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.

"We are thrilled to open our doors and offer this new service, which will better respond to the needs of local business owners," said Marc-André Bally, Senior Vice President Western Canada and Business Centres. "This site previously served Winnipeg members for 35 years, and we are excited for this new chapter as a hub for the local business community."

The Business Centre is open to all Costco members, with annual fees of $65 for Business or Gold Star memberships and $130 for Executive membership. Costco reported revenues of $269.9 billion for the fiscal year ending August 31, 2025, according to the company statement.

Costco operates 928 warehouses worldwide and 115 locations across Canada, employing over 50,000 people in the country.
