Canopy Growth appoints new managing director at Storz & Bickel unit
Canopy Growth Corporation (NASDAQ: CGC) announced David Männer will become managing director of its Storz & Bickel subsidiary effective April 1, 2026, according to a company statement.
Männer will succeed Jürgen Bickel, who co-founded the German vaporization technology company in 2001. Bickel has decided to transition out of his role after 25 years with the company.
Männer has worked at Storz & Bickel for 14 years, most recently serving as deputy managing director. The company, based in Tuttlingen, Germany, manufactures cannabis vaporizers and holds ISO 13485 certification for medical-grade devices.
"Jürgen has built a culture of product excellence, a discipline around standards, and a passionate team. It is on this foundation that I am excited to apply what I've learned and write the next chapter," Männer said in the statement.
Canopy Growth CEO Luc Mongeau said the company plans to deepen its presence in the U.S. market and accelerate innovation under Männer's leadership.
Storz & Bickel received the Dr. Rudolf Eberle Prize for technical innovation and operates as a subsidiary of the Canadian cannabis company. Canopy Growth acquired Storz & Bickel in 2018.
The transition comes as Canopy Growth maintains operations across multiple cannabis markets through various subsidiaries and partnerships, including medical cannabis services in Canada and interests in U.S. cannabis operations through Canopy USA.
