Vertical Aerospace selects Isoclima for Valo aircraft transparency suite

March 27, 2026 7:01 AM

Vertical Aerospace (NYSE: EVTL) announced it has selected Isoclima S.p.A. as a strategic supplier to design and manufacture the complete transparency suite for its Valo electric aircraft, according to a company press release.

Under the agreement, Isoclima will provide pilot and passenger canopies and glazing systems for the Valo certification aircraft. The partnership aims to provide supply stability and technical continuity as Vertical advances the Valo program through certification, production and commercial service entry.

The selection adds Isoclima to Vertical's established supplier network, which includes Honeywell, Aciturri, Evolito and Syensqo for the Valo aircraft program.

Aircraft transparencies require certification and must withstand operational cycles, bird-strike requirements, structural loads and environmental stress while maintaining visibility and durability. Isoclima's capabilities include in-house bird-strike testing and advanced modeling to support the program through commercialization.

Isoclima operates as a global supplier of certified glazing systems to aerospace manufacturers and also serves civilian armored vehicles, defense, rail, yachting and security architecture sectors.

"Delivering Valo requires world-class partners with deep certification expertise and proven manufacturing capability. Isoclima brings both," said Stuart Simpson, CEO at Vertical Aerospace.

Liviana Forza, CEO at Isoclima, stated the partnership "reflects our commitment to enabling next-generation mobility through advanced, certified transparencies."

Vertical Aerospace is developing the Valo, a piloted four-passenger electric vertical take-off and landing aircraft. The company reports approximately 1,500 pre-orders from customers including American Airlines, Avolon, Bristow, GOL and Japan Airlines.
