Investing.com -- Britain's Competition and Markets Authority has launched a phase 1 investigation into the $3.4 billion joint venture between Brazilian pulp producer Suzano and consumer goods company Kimberly-Clark.

The watchdog announced the investigation on Friday and set a deadline of May 28 to announce its decision from the phase 1 review.
