XPeng Inc. (NYSE: XPEV) announced its board of directors approved changing the company's Chinese name from "小鵬汽車有限公司" to "小鵬集團" effective April 1, 2026. The English name "XPeng Inc." will remain unchanged.

The Chinese name change serves identification purposes only and will not affect shareholder rights, according to the company's statement. Share certificates for Class A ordinary shares do not display the Chinese name and will continue to be valid for trading, settlement, registration and delivery without requiring exchange.

The company's Chinese stock short name on The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited will change from "小鵬汽車 – W" to "小鵬集團 – W" at 9:00 a.m. on April 1, 2026. The English stock short name "XPENG – W" and stock code "9868" will remain the same.

XPeng trades on the New York Stock Exchange under ticker XPEV and on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange under code 9868. The name change affects only the Chinese identification of the electric vehicle manufacturer while maintaining all existing trading arrangements and shareholder protections.
