RH appoints David Stanchak as chief real estate officer
RH (NYSE: RH) announced the appointment of David Stanchak as Chief Real Estate and Transformation Officer, marking his return to the luxury home furnishings company.
Stanchak previously held a similar role at RH from May 2015 through May 2021, leading the company's global real estate expansion and North American gallery transformation initiatives. In his new position, he will resume these responsibilities and additionally oversee efforts to monetize RH's real estate portfolio in the United States and Europe.
The executive brings four decades of real estate industry experience, having worked as a senior executive, investor, broker and attorney in multi-unit retail brand development. According to the company, Stanchak has direct responsibility for opening more than 2,500 retail stores and deploying over $2.5 billion in capital for major U.S. retailers, including RH.
RH Chairman and CEO Gary Friedman stated that Stanchak's previous leadership contributed to expanding RH's gallery platform globally and transforming legacy stores into design galleries with integrated restaurants and beverage service areas across North America.
Stanchak will report directly to Friedman and serve as a member of RH's executive leadership team. The Corte Madera, California-based company operates retail galleries across the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom and Europe, offering luxury home furnishing collections through multiple channels including online platforms.
