Northrop Grumman wins $127 million Navy contract for supersonic targets
Investing.com -- Northrop Grumman Corp. (NYSE: NOC) has been awarded a $127,319,699 firm-fixed-price contract by the U.S. Department of War for the production of GQM-163A Coyote Supersonic Sea-skimming Targets.
The contract, designated N0001926C0122, covers Full Rate Production Lot 18 and includes the procurement of 28 GQM-163A targets along with associated support and related technical and administrative data. The targets will support the Navy, the government of Japan, and the government of Korea.
Work under the contract will be distributed across multiple locations, with Camden, Arizona accounting for 53% of the work and Chandler, Arizona handling 31%. St. Petersburg, Florida will perform 6% of the work, while Oconomowoc, Wisconsin and Montville, New Jersey will each handle 4%. Manassas, Virginia will account for 1% of the work, with various other contiguous U.S. locations performing less than 1% each.
The contract is expected to be completed in August 2030.
At the time of award, $58,623,999 in fiscal 2026 weapon procurement funds, $9,676,624 in fiscal 2025 weapon procurement funds, and $9,019,076 in Foreign Military Sales funds will be obligated. None of these funds will expire at the end of the current fiscal year.
Naval Air Systems Command in Patuxent River, Maryland serves as the contracting activity for this award.
