Venture Global and Edison settle Calcasieu Pass arbitration dispute
Venture Global and Edison announced a commercial agreement to settle their pending arbitration dispute concerning the Calcasieu Pass liquefied natural gas project, according to a joint statement from the companies.
The settlement is expected to be completed by the end of the second quarter of 2026, at which point the arbitration will be terminated. The agreement resolves the dispute in its entirety.
As part of the settlement terms, Edison and Venture Global agreed to additional cargo deliveries to Europe beyond those specified in their existing long-term contract. These deliveries will primarily support gas supplies to the Italian market, with the first delivery scheduled for May 2026 at Italy's Adriatic LNG Terminal.
The companies described the agreement as strengthening their commercial cooperation and establishing a foundation for future deliveries. Edison serves as a foundational customer of Venture Global's Calcasieu Pass project.
The settlement comes as European energy markets continue to face supply disruptions from ongoing geopolitical events. Both companies expressed satisfaction with the resolution and indicated plans to continue their partnership in LNG deliveries.
The information is based on a joint press release statement from the two companies.
