Beyond Air names Robert Goodman as new CEO following Steve Lisi resignation
Beyond Air, Inc. (NASDAQ: XAIR) announced that Steve Lisi has resigned as Chief Executive Officer and stepped down from the Board of Directors, effective March 27, 2026. The company has appointed Robert Goodman, currently Chief Commercial Officer and Director, as CEO effective immediately.
Lisi led Beyond Air for nine years, overseeing the development and market launch of the company's LungFit PH system. The FDA-approved medical device treats term and near-term neonates with hypoxic respiratory failure using nitric oxide technology.
Robert F. Carey, Chairman of the Board, stated that Lisi's contributions were critical in developing the LungFit system and positioning the company for its next phase. The board selected Goodman based on his commercial and operational expertise in U.S. and international markets.
Goodman joined Beyond Air's board in June 2025 and served as Chief Commercial Officer from November 2025 through March 2026. He has held leadership positions at BioTelemetry, Philips Healthcare, Cardiocore, Thermo Fisher Scientific, and Pfizer. He is also a board member at Fourth Frontier, a wearable health technology company.
The incoming CEO holds a degree from Norwich University and is a retired U.S. Army officer. He previously guided companies through growth phases and global expansion across public companies, private equity-backed businesses, and early-stage ventures.
Beyond Air is a commercial-stage medical device and biopharmaceutical company focused on nitric oxide applications for respiratory illnesses, neurological disorders, and solid tumors. The company expects no disruption to operations, customer relationships, or strategic priorities during the leadership transition.
