Enphase Energy launches IQ Energy Management in Australia and New Zealand

March 26, 2026 8:04 AM

Enphase Energy Inc. (NASDAQ: ENPH) announced the introduction of IQ Energy Management for Australia and New Zealand markets. The system integrates with Enphase solar and IQ Battery systems to manage variable electricity rates and control select third-party electric water heaters and electric vehicle chargers.

The energy management solution uses artificial intelligence to control home appliances and is managed through the Enphase App. The system aims to help homeowners reduce energy costs and increase self-consumption of solar power.

According to the company, Australia has more than 4.2 million homes powered by rooftop solar and represents one of the highest per-capita rooftop solar adoption rates globally. Electric water heating typically accounts for 15 to 30 percent of residential energy consumption in Australia.

The IQ Energy Management system operates through the IQ Energy Router suite of products, which connects with electric water heaters and third-party EV chargers. Installers can combine the energy management system with Enphase solar and battery installations.

"Homeowners in Australia are increasingly looking for ways to get more out of their batteries, and IQ Energy Management is a major step forward," said Jye van Waelsden, founder at Paramount Energy, an Australian installer of Enphase products.

Wayne Dimock, managing director at Dimocks Energy in New Zealand, stated that "IQ Energy Management adds tremendous value to every storage project we deliver to our customers."

Ken Fong, senior vice president of sales at Enphase Energy, said the launch builds on residential electrification momentum in both countries. The company aims to help homeowners optimize clean energy generation through intelligent platform management of home appliances.

The information is based on a company press release statement.
