Allergan Aesthetics presents 21 research posters at Monaco medical congress
Allergan Aesthetics, an AbbVie (NYSE: ABBV) company, presented 21 scientific e-posters at the Aesthetic & Anti-Aging Medicine World Congress in Monaco from March 26-28, 2026, according to a company statement.
The research focused on the company's investigational neurotoxin trenibotulinumtoxinE, which showed improvement in glabellar lines as early as 8 hours with a duration of 2-3 weeks. Five posters examined the compound's efficacy and safety across diverse patient populations, including those previously treated with onabotulinumtoxinA.
Additional presentations covered real-world data on onabotulinumtoxinA (BOTOX Cosmetic), demonstrating patient satisfaction rates and its role as an entry point to multimodal aesthetic treatments. Studies showed patients receiving long-term BOTOX Cosmetic treatment often progress to additional facial aesthetic procedures.
The company also presented data on its hyaluronic acid treatments VYC-12L (SKINVIVE by JUVÉDERM) and VYC-20L (JUVÉDERM VOLUMA XC), showing sustained improvements in neck lines, perioral lines and skin quality for up to 6 months.
Research on HA-CaHA injectables (HArmonyCa) demonstrated improvements in skin quality and midface volume lasting up to 18 months. Subgroup analyses suggested potential benefits for patients undergoing medical weight loss, including those treated with GLP-1 therapies.
Body contouring data on CoolSculpting showed continued clinical utility for treating stubborn fat areas, with the abdomen and flanks reported as the most bothersome areas among women surveyed.
"The breadth and depth of findings presented at AMWC Monaco demonstrate our commitment to equipping practitioners with meaningful scientific insights and innovative solutions," said Darin Messina, senior vice president of research and development at Allergan Aesthetics.
