CrowdStrike and IBM expand collaboration for AI-driven SOC operations

March 25, 2026 5:26 PM

CrowdStrike (NASDAQ: CRWD) and IBM announced an expansion of their strategic collaboration to integrate artificial intelligence systems for security operations center transformation.

The expanded partnership combines CrowdStrike's Charlotte AI with IBM's Autonomous Threat Operations Machine (ATOM) for coordinated threat investigation and containment. The collaboration also integrates the CrowdStrike Falcon platform with IBM Consulting's managed security services and X-Force Cyber Range simulations.

According to the companies' threat reports, the average eCrime breakout time has decreased to 29 minutes, with the fastest observed breach occurring in 27 seconds. Attacks targeting public-facing applications increased 44% from the previous year, based on data from the CrowdStrike 2026 Global Threat Report and IBM's 2026 X-Force Threat Intelligence Index.

The integration allows IBM ATOM and Charlotte AI to analyze detections across endpoint, identity, and cloud environments. The systems apply enterprise context to coordinate containment decisions and execute responses to reduce manual processes.

"Enterprises trust IBM to advance their security programs," said Daniel Bernard, chief business officer at CrowdStrike. "With Charlotte AI helping to deliver investigation, containment, and operational response, IBM's autonomous threat operations machine (ATOM) and cyber threat management services are battle-ready to defend against modern threats."

Dave McGinnis, vice president of global managed security services at IBM, stated that organizations face pressure to accelerate response without increasing complexity. The collaboration aims to help enterprises implement coordinated, AI-driven response capabilities.

The announcement was made at the RSA 2026 conference, according to the press release statement.
