Universal Display to present OLED efficiency advances at China conference

Universal Display Corporation (NASDAQ: OLED) announced it will participate in and sponsor the International Conference on Display Technology (ICDT) 2026, scheduled for March 31 through April 3, 2026, in Chongqing, China.

The company will present research on OLED emissive layer technology advances. Dr. Zhaoqun Zhou, principal technologist at Universal Display, will deliver a technical presentation on April 2, 2026, focusing on how PHOLED materials support OLED system performance.

The presentation will examine phosphorescence technology in emissive layers and its role in enabling low-power-consumption OLED displays. Zhou's talk will analyze how PHOLED materials support efficiency improvements across various device designs.

ICDT 2026 marks the conference's 10th anniversary. Universal Display serves as a Gold-Level sponsor for the event. Dr. Julie Brown, the company's executive vice president and chief technical officer, will appear in the opening ceremony video.

The presentation, titled "From Exciton Harvesting to Photon Extraction: Solutions for High-Efficiency OLEDs," will take place during Session 21: OLED Display – Architectures at 8:50 a.m. CST on April 2, 2026.

Universal Display Corporation develops organic light emitting diode technologies and materials for display and lighting applications. The company owns, exclusively licenses or has sole sublicensing rights to more than 7,000 patents worldwide, according to the press release.
