Coinbase integrates Chainlink to publish exchange data onchain

March 25, 2026 10:01 AM

Coinbase (NASDAQ: COIN) has integrated with Chainlink to make its exchange data available onchain through DataLink, an institutional-grade data publishing service. This marks the first time Coinbase's premium exchange data, which supports billions in trading activity, will be accessible through blockchain networks.

The integration provides decentralized finance markets with access to various Coinbase datasets, including order book data, spot prices, perpetual futures data from Coinbase International Exchange, e-mini futures data, and additional datasets covering crypto, metals, energy, and equity futures via Coinbase Derivatives Exchange.

"We're excited to build on our existing Chainlink integrations by adopting DataLink to publish Coinbase's exchange market data onchain for the first time," said Liz Martin, Vice President at Coinbase Markets. The company stated this will enable developers to build applications across derivatives, tokenized assets, and other financial products.

Johann Eid, Chief Business Officer at Chainlink Labs, said the partnership demonstrates institutional-grade exchange data delivery to blockchains and represents infrastructure for the convergence of institutional finance and decentralized finance.

This integration follows recent Chainlink implementations by Coinbase, including the Base-Solana Bridge secured by Chainlink CCIP and Coinbase's selection of CCIP as its interoperability provider for Coinbase Wrapped Assets.

The information is based on a press release statement from the companies.
