Diodes Incorporated launches new 100V MOSFET for automotive systems
Diodes Incorporated (NASDAQ: DIOD) announced the launch of new PowerDI8080-5 packaged MOSFETs, including a 100V device with 1.5mΩ maximum RDS(ON) for 48V automotive applications.
The company expanded its automotive-compliant N-channel MOSFET portfolio with devices ranging from 40V to 100V ratings. The 100V-rated DMTH10H1M7SPGWQ targets brushless DC motor drives in power steering and braking systems, along with battery disconnect switches and on-board chargers.
The product line includes a 40V-rated DMTH4M40SPGWQ with 0.4mΩ maximum RDS(ON) for 12V applications, and a logic MOSFET DMTH4M40LPGWQ offering 0.64mΩ RDS(ON) at 4.5V gate-source voltage for microcontroller-driven systems.
The PowerDI8080-5 package measures 8mm x 8mm with a 64mm² PCB footprint, approximately 40% smaller than the legacy TO-263 package. The package features a 1.7mm off-board profile and thermal resistance as low as 0.3°C/W, enabling drain currents up to 847A.
Pricing for 5,000-piece quantities ranges from $1.11 to $1.89. The DMTH10H1M7SPGWQ is priced at $1.71, while the DMTH4M40SPGWQ costs $1.65. The devices target applications in battery electric vehicles, hybrid electric vehicles, and internal combustion engine platforms.
The MOSFETs are manufactured in IATF 16949-certified facilities and support Production Part Approval Process documentation for automotive applications. Standard-compliance versions are also available for industrial and commercial use.
