UiPath launches AI solution for purchase-to-pay automation

March 25, 2026 8:52 AM

UiPath (NYSE: PATH) announced a new artificial intelligence solution designed to automate procurement and accounts payable processes. The UiPath Solution for Purchase-to-Pay will enter controlled general availability in the coming months.

The solution combines AI agents, automation workflows, and orchestration tools to reduce manual processing in procurement operations. It addresses workflow issues in purchase-to-pay processes that typically involve multiple systems with limited integration and incomplete data.

The system uses UiPath's Intelligent Xtraction and Processing technology to automate tasks across the procurement lifecycle. AI agents handle approval routing and communicate through platforms like Microsoft Teams and Slack. The solution processes invoices from various sources including email, PDF files, portals, and electronic data interchange systems.

Key features include automated invoice matching to purchase orders, classification of discrepancies, and guided exception resolution. The system escalates only items requiring human decision-making while maintaining existing enterprise resource planning system controls.

"Finance leaders are under constant pressure to improve efficiency while maintaining strong financial controls," said Hitesh Ramani, Chief Accounting Officer and Deputy CFO at UiPath. "Our UiPath Solution for Purchase-to-pay will help organizations close gaps in procurement and accounts payable workflows."

The announcement comes as part of UiPath's expansion into what the company terms "agentic automation." The solution aims to reduce invoice processing costs and cycle times while improving visibility across procurement operations.

UiPath plans to provide additional details about the solution at its Agentic AI Summit scheduled for March 25, with broadcasts in multiple time zones.
