March 25, 2026 7:59 AM

Recursion (NASDAQ: RXRX) announced that Vicki Goodman, M.D., will become the company's Chief Medical Officer effective April 6, 2026, as David Mauro, M.D., Ph.D. transitions out of the role.

Goodman brings more than two decades of experience in oncology drug development and medical leadership. She most recently served as Chief Medical Officer of Mural Oncology, where she built and led the development organization and advanced a portfolio of novel cytokine assets.

Previously, she was Executive Vice President, Product Development and Medical Affairs and Chief Medical Officer at Exelixis, overseeing clinical development, regulatory affairs, pharmacovigilance, and biometrics across a multi-asset pipeline.

At Merck, Goodman served as Vice President of Clinical Research and Therapeutic Area Head of Late-Stage Oncology, overseeing key elements of the company's late-stage portfolio, including KEYTRUDA (pembrolizumab). At Bristol Myers Squibb, she led cross-functional development for OPDIVO (nivolumab) and YERVOY (ipilimumab) in melanoma and genitourinary cancers.

Earlier in her career at GlaxoSmithKline, Goodman led development of dabrafenib from early clinical expansion through regulatory approval. She received her M.D. from Albert Einstein College of Medicine and completed clinical training in internal medicine and hematology/oncology at the University of Michigan. She previously worked as a Medical Officer at the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.

The appointment comes as Recursion advances its clinical pipeline and prepares for regulatory milestones. Mauro, the current Chief Medical Officer, will transition from his role after approximately three years with the company.

Recursion operates as a clinical-stage biotechnology company focused on drug discovery and development using artificial intelligence and automated laboratory systems. The company maintains facilities in Salt Lake City, Utah and Milton Park, Oxfordshire, with additional offices in New York, Montreal, and London.
