Honeywell (NASDAQ: HON) announced it has signed a supplier framework agreement with the U.S. Department of War to increase production of defense technologies. The agreement includes a $500 million multi-year investment to upgrade the company's production capacity.

Under the agreement, Honeywell Aerospace will increase production of navigation systems, Assure actuators, and electronic warfare solutions. The navigation systems are used in precision munition platforms, while the Assure actuators provide missile maneuverability for interceptor and tactical missiles. The electronic warfare solutions support U.S. military platforms including fighter jets and AMRAAM missiles.

"Honeywell Aerospace is proud to embrace the challenge and meet this urgent need," said Jim Currier, president and CEO of Honeywell Aerospace. "Our commercial operating system enables us to invest in advanced technologies and manufacture at scale and speed, delivering a substantial and enduring benefit to the customer and taxpayers."

Honeywell Aerospace is among the first Tier 1 suppliers to sign a framework agreement of this nature with the Department of War, according to the company's statement.

The announcement was made on March 25, 2026, from the company's Phoenix location. Honeywell Aerospace provides products and services for commercial, defense and space aircraft, manufacturing engines, cockpit electronics, thermal systems and other aerospace components.
