Phillips 66 and Kinder Morgan extend pipeline open season deadline to April 15

March 25, 2026 7:01 AM

Phillips 66 (NYSE: PSX) and Kinder Morgan Inc. (NYSE: KMI) announced an extension of the second open season for their Western Gateway Pipeline project. The deadline has been moved to April 15 at noon Central Time to allow prospective shippers additional time to complete commercial evaluations.

The Western Gateway Pipeline is a proposed refined products pipeline system that would include additional receipt points and deliveries into the Los Angeles market through Kinder Morgan's SFPP Watson to Colton, California line.

The companies cited continued interest as the reason for the extension. Prospective shippers will have more time to review the updated Transportation Services Agreement, including rates, and secure internal approvals for remaining capacity on the Western Gateway system.

The initial open season concluded in December with what the companies described as significant shipper interest and commitments. The second open season provided additional receipt points and delivery options compared to the first round.

The information was provided in a press release from the companies.
