Cognyte wins $5M contract with major US law enforcement agency
Cognyte Software Ltd. (NASDAQ: CGNT) announced it secured a contract valued at approximately $5 million with one of the largest state law enforcement agencies in the United States. The agency will deploy Cognyte's tactical signals intelligence solution to support investigations and real-time field operations across the state.
The contract represents a new customer for the Israel-based investigative analytics software company, displacing an existing provider. Special agents will use the solution for time-sensitive missions including fugitive apprehension, missing children cases, criminal investigations and search and rescue operations.
The law enforcement agency operates across a large geographic territory and assists smaller law enforcement organizations throughout the state. The agency faces challenges including cross-border smuggling and other criminal activity. The deployment aims to deliver real-time intelligence to agents in the field and enhance coordination across jurisdictions.
"The U.S. law enforcement market is committing resources to advance its investigative and tactical capabilities to enable time-sensitive field operations at scale," said Erik Sachwitz, General Manager of North American at Cognyte.
Chief Executive Officer Elad Sharon stated the contract win validates the company's growth strategy in North America and establishes a pathway for potential expansions as the agency scales its intelligence capabilities.
Cognyte develops software-driven technology for data processing and investigative analytics. The company serves law enforcement, national security, and intelligence agencies with solutions that leverage artificial intelligence, big data analytics and machine learning.
