Eldorado Gold names Simon Hille COO, appoints Gordana Vicentijevic to lead projects

Eldorado Gold Corporation (NYSE American: EGO) announced leadership changes with Simon Hille appointed as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer and Gordana Vicentijevic named Senior Vice President, Projects.

Hille, who joined Eldorado in 2020, will oversee the company's global operations, projects, exploration, and health, safety and sustainability functions. He previously served as Executive Vice President, Technical Services & Operations since November 2023. The executive brings over 30 years of experience in gold and base metals, including previous roles at Newmont and Barrick Gold.

Vicentijevic will begin her role on May 4, 2026, joining from Equinox Gold where she held senior leadership positions in project development. She has 28 years of experience in mining operations and project management across mining, oil and gas, and chemical plant sectors.

"Simon's appointment as EVP & COO strengthens accountability across our global operations and enhances integration between regional performance and corporate strategy," said CEO George Burns in a statement. "Gordana's deep experience in large-scale project delivery further bolsters our ability to execute growth initiatives with rigor and consistency."

Eldorado Gold operates mining, development and exploration activities in Canada, Greece and Turkey. The company's shares trade on the Toronto Stock Exchange and New York Stock Exchange.
