Q2 partners with Stablecore to offer banks digital asset services

March 24, 2026 10:00 AM

Q2 Holdings Inc. (NYSE: QTWO) announced a partnership with Stablecore to provide banks and credit unions with stablecoin and digital asset capabilities through the Q2 Digital Banking Platform.

The integration allows financial institutions to offer stablecoins, digital asset accounts, and tokenized deposits within regulated banking environments. Amarillo National Bank and Bank of Utah are among the early institutions working with Stablecore through Q2's platform.

Through Stablecore's integration with Q2 Innovation Studio, banks and credit unions can implement workflows supporting stablecoin payments, digital asset accounts with on and off ramps, digital asset-collateralized lending, tokenized deposits, and staking rewards across retail and commercial banking experiences.

"Stablecoins and digital assets are moving from theoretical conversations to practical evaluation within mainstream banking," said Anthony Ianniciello, VP of Product Management at Q2. "Our role is to help banks and credit unions introduce these capabilities thoughtfully and responsibly."

Alex Treece, CEO and co-founder of Stablecore, stated that the partnership "brings compliant digital asset infrastructure into a platform that hundreds of institutions already trust, making it significantly easier to implement stablecoin and digital asset products."

Bank of Utah President Branden P. Hansen said the partnership allows the bank to "explore meaningful digital asset use cases while we continue building new solutions that help unlock our clients' potential."

The collaboration addresses infrastructure challenges that banks face when implementing digital asset offerings at scale within regulatory requirements. Q2 Innovation Studio reduces integration costs and complexity by pre-integrating fintech solutions into the banking platform.

Austin-based Q2 provides digital transformation solutions for financial services and trades on the NYSE under the ticker QTWO. Stablecore is a digital asset platform backed by investors including Norwest, BankTech Ventures, and Curql.
