HP unveils AI-powered workplace devices and security innovations

HP Inc. (NYSE: HPQ) announced new artificial intelligence-powered devices, security solutions, and workflow automation tools at its HP Imagine 2026 event in New York on March 24.

The company introduced HP IQ, an intelligence layer designed to connect HP AI PCs, workplace devices, and meeting spaces through local AI processing and proximity-based connectivity. HP IQ will debut on the next generation HP EliteBook X G2 AI PCs with features including voice and text responses, file analysis capabilities, note organization, and meeting recording functions.

HP launched the EliteBook 6 G2q Next Gen AI PC, featuring up to 85 TOPS NPU performance on Snapdragon X2 Elite and X2 Plus processors. The device includes HP Go 5G connectivity that automatically switches between carriers and a chassis up to 15 percent thinner than the previous generation.

The company announced HP TPM Guard, which HP describes as the first hardware solution designed to prevent physical BitLocker bypass attacks. The technology creates an encrypted link between the Trusted Platform Module and CPU to prevent interception attacks.

HP introduced new LaserJet Pro 4000/4100 Series and LaserJet Enterprise 5000/6000 Series printers with AI-powered document processing capabilities and quantum-resistant security features. The Enterprise series includes AI features such as Scan AI Enhanced and Editable OCR.

The company unveiled new HP Z Workstations, including the Z8 Fury designed to support up to four NVIDIA RTX PRO 6000 Blackwell Max-Q GPUs and next-generation Intel processors for AI development workloads.

HP expanded its gaming portfolio with HyperX OMEN MAX 45L and OMEN 35L desktop computers, along with OMEN AI software now available across games including Minecraft, Roblox and Marvel Rivals for performance optimization.
