HP launches new LaserJet printers with quantum-resistant security

March 24, 2026 9:31 AM

HP Inc. (NYSE: HPQ) announced two new printer series designed for businesses at its Imagine 2026 event in New York. The company introduced the HP LaserJet Pro 4000/4100 Series for small and medium businesses and the HP LaserJet Enterprise 5000/6000 Series for larger organizations.

Both printer lines feature what HP describes as quantum-resistant security protection and artificial intelligence-powered workflow tools. The Pro series offers automatic two-sided printing and Wi-Fi 6 connectivity, while the Enterprise series provides print speeds up to 57 pages per minute and scanning capabilities up to 200 images per minute.

"Organizations are under pressure to digitize how work gets done while keeping their environments secure," said Anneliese Olson, President of Imaging, Printing, and Solutions at HP Inc.

The new printers incorporate HP's TerraJet Toner technology, which the company states delivers 11% more pages using less toner compared to previous cartridges. Both series include EPEAT Gold, ENERGY STAR, and Blue Angel certifications.

HP's AI features include automated document formatting, naming, and file organization for the Pro series, while the Enterprise models add optical character recognition and guided redaction capabilities. The Enterprise series also provides access to Microsoft 365 Copilot integration through an HP Workpath app subscription.

According to HP's internal research, 78% of small and medium businesses struggle with printer management, while 54% of organizations are accelerating digitization plans. The company commissioned surveys across the United States, UK, Germany, and India involving 4,000 respondents from various business sizes.

The HP LaserJet Pro 4000/4100 Series is expected to be available in May, while the HP LaserJet Enterprise 5000/6000 Series will be available for contract-based sales in March and broader purchase availability in June. HP has not disclosed pricing for either series.
