HP unveils new AI-powered commercial PCs at HP Imagine 2026
HP Inc. (NYSE: HPQ) introduced its latest commercial notebook and desktop PC portfolio at HP Imagine 2026, led by the HP EliteBook 6 G2q Next Gen AI PC designed for mobile professionals and office collaborators.
The EliteBook 6 G2q features ARM-based Snapdragon X2 Elite and X2 Plus processors with up to 85 TOPS NPU AI performance and battery life extending up to 28 hours. The device measures 15% thinner than its predecessor and includes HP Go 5G connectivity for automatic carrier switching.

The expanded commercial lineup includes several series targeting different user segments. The EliteBook 8 G2 Series targets knowledge workers and creators, while the EliteBook 6 G2 Series serves tech-forward small and medium businesses, enterprise, and public-sector teams. The ProBook 4 G2 Series focuses on growing small businesses, and the EliteDesk 8 G2 Series provides desktop options for enterprise deployments.
HP also announced HP IQ, an AI layer featuring a 20-billion-parameter model for local intelligence and proximity-based connectivity. HP IQ will begin early access rollout on select HP AI PCs in Spring 2026, with limited Summer 2026 release expanding to additional notebooks, desktops, and Poly Studio Video Bars.
The EliteBook 6 G2q is expected to be available on HP.com in July 2026, with pricing to be announced closer to availability. Other devices in the portfolio are scheduled for availability starting in April 2026.
