Klaviyo launches Composer AI agent for automated marketing campaigns
Klaviyo Inc. (NYSE: KVYO) introduced Composer, an AI agent that generates marketing campaigns and customer flows from text prompts, according to a company statement.
The Boston-based customer relationship management platform said Composer can create launch-ready campaigns including audience segments and cross-channel messaging. Users can input requests such as "build me a fun spring re-activation campaign, targeting lapsed customers across email and text" to generate campaigns within minutes.
Composer is currently available in private beta. The tool requires human approval before campaigns go live and bases outputs on data from Klaviyo's 193,000 customers and 14 years of marketing intelligence.
The company also expanded its Customer Agent service with new retail capabilities including order tracking, returns and exchanges, subscription editing, and loyalty lookup. These features operate on real-time customer data without requiring custom development.
Klaviyo added Agent Guidance functionality, allowing brands to control Customer Agent's communication style and set escalation rules for transferring conversations to human representatives.
"The execution layer in software is moving from humans to agents," said co-founder and co-CEO Andrew Bialecki. "What matters now is having both the agents that do the work, and the infrastructure that gives them the full picture of the customer."
The company released more than 75 new features in the first quarter, including RCS messaging, Instagram auto-replies, and personalized onsite banners. New integrations include WooCommerce for Customer Hub.
Klaviyo's platform serves businesses including Mattel, TaylorMade, and Glossier through more than 350 integrations.
