SentinelOne (NYSE: S) appointed Barry Padgett as president and chief operating officer, effective immediately, according to a company statement. Padgett previously served as the cybersecurity company's chief growth officer and interim chief financial officer.

The promotion coincides with Sonalee Parekh beginning her role as SentinelOne's new chief financial officer, as announced earlier this month.

In his expanded role, Padgett will focus on corporate strategy and operational excellence across SentinelOne's market-facing functions. The company is based in Mountain View, California.

Padgett brings more than 25 years of experience in technology companies, including previous positions as chief product and strategy officer at Concur, president of SAP, chief revenue officer at Stripe, and chief executive officer at Amperity.

"Over the past year, Barry has been instrumental in driving operational excellence across SentinelOne," said Tomer Weingarten, co-founder and CEO of SentinelOne. "This expanded role will build on Barry's impact and leadership to strengthen our operating and innovation advantage, driving SentinelOne's next chapter of growth."
