CrowdStrike launches Falcon Data Security to prevent data theft

March 24, 2026 8:05 AM

CrowdStrike (NASDAQ: CRWD) introduced Falcon Data Security, a data protection solution designed to secure sensitive information across endpoints, browsers, software-as-a-service applications, cloud environments, and artificial intelligence workflows.

The cybersecurity company announced the product at the RSA conference. The solution aims to address data security challenges created by AI systems that continuously access and move sensitive data across multiple platforms.

"AI has fundamentally changed how quickly data is created, accessed, and shared, placing sensitive information in constant motion," said Elia Zaitsev, chief technology officer at CrowdStrike. "Legacy data protection tools were built for a world where data was static."

Falcon Data Security operates through the company's existing Falcon platform and includes AI-powered classification capabilities that automatically identify sensitive data as it moves between systems. The solution provides protection for data shared through browsers and applications, including generative AI tools.

The product offers real-time visibility into cloud data access and movement, moving beyond static inventory approaches. It integrates with the company's existing endpoint, identity, and cloud security tools to provide consolidated threat analysis.

Additional features include automated enforcement mechanisms that can block unauthorized data movement at endpoints and prevent unauthorized access in software-as-a-service applications. The system also automates response actions through security orchestration workflows.

CrowdStrike positioned the solution as an alternative to traditional data loss prevention and data security posture management tools, which the company said were designed for different technological environments.

The announcement included a forward-looking statement noting that referenced services or features are still in development and subject to change.
