The New York Stock Exchange and Securitize announced a memorandum of understanding to develop tokenized securities markets. Securitize will serve as the first digital transfer agent eligible to mint blockchain-native securities for corporate or ETF issuers on NYSE's Digital Trading Platform.

The collaboration will focus on developing standards for digital transfer agents and tokenization agents in the digital ecosystem. The companies plan to establish regulatory, operational, and technology requirements for institutional-grade tokenized securities infrastructure.

"As we explore how tokenization can enhance capital markets, it is critical that new infrastructure is developed in a way that preserves the trust, transparency, and protections investors expect."

Securitize brings experience as an SEC-registered transfer agent and tokenization platform. The company will help define the role of transfer agent infrastructure in maintaining official records of ownership and supporting corporate actions for tokenized securities.

As part of the collaboration, Securitize Markets is expected to become a broker-dealer participant on the Digital Trading Platform, supporting market structure development for issuer-sponsored tokenized securities.

The NYSE is part of Intercontinental Exchange (NYSE: ICE). Securitize operates as an SEC-registered broker dealer and transfer agent in the United States, with $4 billion in assets under management as of November 2025.
