Perma-Fix reports 2025 results with expanded capacity for Hanford cleanup
Perma-Fix Environmental Services Inc. (NASDAQ: PESI) reported fourth quarter 2025 revenue of $15.7 million compared to $14.7 million in the prior year period, according to a company statement. Full year 2025 revenue reached $61.7 million versus $59.1 million in 2024.
The company's Treatment Segment revenue increased 29% to $11.4 million in the fourth quarter, driven by higher waste volumes. For the full year, Treatment Segment revenue rose 29% to $45.1 million from $35.0 million in 2024. Services Segment revenue declined 26.4% to $4.3 million in the quarter and decreased 31.4% to $16.6 million for the year, primarily due to reduced project work.
Perma-Fix reported a net loss of $5.7 million for the fourth quarter, compared to a net loss of $3.5 million in the prior year period. The 2025 fourth quarter loss included a $2.7 million increase to environmental remediation reserves at a discontinued operation. Full year net loss was $13.8 million versus $20.0 million in 2024.
The company renewed permits for its Perma-Fix Northwest facility, expanding permitted processing capacity to approximately 1.2 million gallons of liquid mixed waste annually and authorizing treatment of up to 175,000 tons of waste through macroencapsulation. Treatment backlog increased 51% year-over-year to $11.9 million at year-end.
International project revenue grew 163% to approximately $6.4 million in 2025. The Direct-Feed Low-Activity Waste program began hot commissioning activities in the fourth quarter, with operational phase expected to begin in coming months.
For the fourth quarter, loss per share was $0.31 compared to $0.22 in the prior year. Full year loss per share improved to $0.75 from $1.33 in 2024.
