March 24, 2026 7:01 AM

CAMP4 Therapeutics Corporation (NASDAQ: CAMP) announced the appointment of Michael MacLean to its board of directors. The Cambridge, Massachusetts-based biopharmaceutical company is developing regulatory RNA-targeting therapeutics for genetic diseases.

MacLean brings over 35 years of financial leadership experience in biotechnology and life sciences. He most recently served as chief financial officer at Avidity Biosciences, joining before the company's 2020 initial public offering and leading finance functions until Novartis acquired the company in 2026.

Previously, MacLean held chief financial officer positions at Akcea Therapeutics and PureTech Health. He also served as chief accounting officer at Biogen Inc., overseeing worldwide finance operations. From 2021 to 2025, he was a board member and audit committee chair at Verve Therapeutics.

"Mike brings an exceptional depth of financial and operational expertise built across decades of leadership at some of the most innovative biotechnology companies," said Josh Mandel-Brehm, president and chief executive officer of CAMP4.

MacLean holds an undergraduate degree from Boston College. The appointment comes as CAMP4 advances its lead program CMP-002 toward a planned Phase 1/2 clinical trial for SYNGAP1-related disorder.

CAMP4 develops treatments for genetic diseases by amplifying messenger RNA through targeting regulatory RNAs. The company's proprietary RAP Platform enables mapping of regulatory RNAs and generation of therapeutic candidates for haploinsufficient and recessive partial loss-of-function disorders.
