Royalty Pharma names Lucas Glass as head of artificial intelligence
Royalty Pharma plc (NASDAQ: RPRX) appointed Lucas Glass as Head of Artificial Intelligence, effective April 2026, according to a company statement.
Glass will lead the development and implementation of artificial intelligence capabilities across the biopharmaceutical royalty company's operations. He joins from IQVIA, where he served as Senior Vice President of Technology, leading enterprise architecture and platform engineering initiatives at the global life sciences analytics provider.
"By incorporating intelligent automation, advanced analytics and AI-driven decision support, we are strengthening how we evaluate and invest in royalties and support our partners," said Pablo Legorreta, Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of Royalty Pharma.
Glass brings more than a decade of experience building enterprise-scale AI and data solutions in life sciences. His previous roles included data science and statistical leadership positions at Routine Recovery and the U.S. Department of Justice. He holds a doctorate in statistics from Temple University, a master's degree in biostatistics from Drexel University, and a bachelor's degree in physics from Boston University.
Founded in 1996, Royalty Pharma describes itself as the largest buyer of biopharmaceutical royalties. The company's portfolio includes royalties on more than 35 commercial products and 19 development-stage product candidates, generating payments based on the sales of various therapies including Vertex's Trikafta, GSK's Trelegy, and Biogen's Tysabri.
