Cardinal Health (NYSE: CAH) appointed Patricia A. Hemingway Hall as board chair, replacing Gregory B. Kenny following his retirement, effective immediately, according to a company statement.

Kenny served on the board since 2007 and as chairman since 2018. During his tenure, he supported the company through strategic portfolio changes and operational improvement initiatives.

Hemingway Hall has served on Cardinal Health's board since 2013 and chaired the Governance and Sustainability Committee for nearly seven years. She previously served as president and chief executive officer of Health Care Service Corporation, described as the nation's largest mutual health insurer.

Cardinal Health operates as a pharmaceutical and specialty products distributor, medical and laboratory products manufacturer and distributor, and provider of home-health and direct-to-patient products and services. The company also operates nuclear pharmacies and manufacturing facilities while providing performance and data solutions.

The company plans to release third quarter fiscal 2026 earnings on April 30 and maintains confidence in its fiscal 2026 outlook, according to the statement.
