Uranium Energy Corp (NYSE American: UEC) received state regulatory approval to operate three additional header houses at its Christensen Ranch facility in Wyoming and has begun uranium extraction operations, according to a company statement.

The company commenced operations at the new header houses in wellfield 11, with one additional header house awaiting regulatory approval. Three more header houses are under construction in wellfields 12 and 10-extension.

In Texas, the company's Burke Hollow mine is ready for operations and awaits final approval from the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality for startup.

"We sincerely appreciate the Wyoming Department of Environmental Quality for their cooperation, professionalism, and constructive engagement throughout the permitting process," said Brent Berg, Senior Vice President of U.S. Operations.

Separately, United States Uranium Refining & Conversion Corp, a wholly-owned subsidiary of UEC, received a docket number from the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission on March 18 for its planned uranium conversion facility. This follows the company's previously submitted Letter of Intent to pursue a license under 10 CFR Part 40.

The formal license application will be submitted after completion of engineering and design activities currently underway with Fluor and site selection. The company has identified several viable locations across multiple states under consideration.

The licensing process will proceed with an initial Pre-Application Engagement with the NRC as the next step. Multiple factors including local incentives, workforce availability, utilities, and transportation logistics are being evaluated for the facility location.
