Centuri adds former Dycom CEO Steven Nielsen to board of directors
Centuri Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: CTRI) appointed Steven Nielsen as an independent director to its board of directors, the Phoenix-based utility infrastructure services company announced.
Nielsen served as chairman and chief executive officer of Dycom Industries (NYSE: DY) from 2000 to 2024, leading the telecommunications infrastructure contractor through revenue growth from under $200 million to more than $4.5 billion during his tenure. He spent 31 years total at Dycom, including as president and CEO from March 1999 to 2024.
"Steve has decades of successful leadership in specialty contracting services," said Chris Krummel, chair of the Centuri board of directors. "His vast experience paired with a reputation as a steady, insightful, and highly effective enterprise leader, make him a wonderful addition to the Board."
Nielsen will stand for election at Centuri's 2026 annual meeting of shareholders. His appointment expands the board to nine members.
Nielsen previously served as a director of SBA Communications Corporation (NASDAQ: SBAC) and holds a bachelor of arts degree from Williams College. At Dycom, he oversaw nationwide operations and a complex, multi-market business structure.
Centuri provides utility and energy infrastructure services to regulated utilities across the United States and Canada. The company partners with utilities to build and maintain energy networks serving residential and commercial customers.
