Super Micro Computer board member resigns, names compliance officer
Super Micro Computer Inc. (NASDAQ: SMCI) announced that board member Yih-Shyan "Wally" Liaw has resigned from the company's Board of Directors, effective immediately, according to a company statement.
Following Liaw's departure, the company's board now comprises eight directors. The board's committee structure remains unchanged.
The San Jose, California-based company also appointed DeAnna Luna as acting Chief Compliance Officer, effective immediately. Luna joined Supermicro in 2024 as Vice President of Global Trade & Sanctions Compliance.
Luna brings more than 20 years of experience in global trade compliance, governance, highly regulated markets, and legal risk management. She previously served as Director Global Export Licensing & Classification at Intel Corporation and as Senior Director of Global Trade Compliance at Teledyne Technologies.
Luna holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Business from San Diego State University.
The company did not provide details regarding the reason for Liaw's resignation or the timeline for selecting a permanent Chief Compliance Officer.
